All logs are not created equal. If you use wood for heating or open fires make sure it is well-seasoned and dry. Good logs burn hotter and cleaner. Anything else is really not worth using and can cause problems for your stove and flue. We sell ready to burn, well-seasoned hardwood logs from our own sustainably managed woodlands on the Estate. Most of our inventory is sycamore and birch. The logs are cut to 25 cm (10 inch) length for use in both stoves and open fires. In a marketplace of confusing measurements and varying quality we have settled on the builders bag as our standard load. Each bag contains approximately 200 pieces. We have no idea what it weighs but that doesnt really matter. In fact, the lighter a quality hardwood log feels the better it is.
